Dear Friends,

The European Laudato Si’ Alliance (ELSiA) is pleased to invite you to the fourth Laudato Si’ Reflection Day.

As you registered for last year Reflection Day, we thought you would like to receive the invitation to this year online event as well.

ELSiA is a network of catholic organization committed to join forces to adapt the comprehensive approach of the encyclical letter Laudato Si’ and related Church teachings to a European context with a special focus on the institutions of the European Union; the alliance is composed by Caritas EuropaCOMECECIDSEJESCJustice and Peace Europe and the Global Catholic Climate Movement

The title of this year gathering is “The Dream, the Plan, the Path”:  Cardinal Jean – Claude HollerichPresident of COMECE and Honorary President of ELSiA will open the meeting and confirmed speakers include philosopher and writer Roman KrznaricDominika Chylewska from Caritas Laudato Si’ and Fr. Augusto Zampini, Adjunct Secretary of the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development: together we will share moments of prayer, reflection and dialogue.

The meeting will take place via zoomThursday May 27, 2021 from 9.30am to 12.30pm and from 2.15pm to 4.30pm (CEST). The language of the meeting will be English.

In the morning, we will have four esteemed speakers present ideas on themes including how to be good ancestors, the importance of long-term thinking even in short-term sectors, such as politics and concrete examples of what it looks like to walk the path of ecological conversion, […] for we know that things can change. […]” (Laudato Si’ 13).

In the afternoon session, we will hear about the long-term plans for the future of the Catholic Church and the European Union from two esteemed speakers, and then we will work in small groups to exchange ideas and dreams on what future we want to see, are ready to build and are already working on. Working collaboratively and exchanging points of view we will find inspiration on how to be agents of change, together.

Keywords from the presentations and workshops will be captured live in beautiful illustrations by artist Zsofi Lang.

Register here by May 26 if you wish to participate.

Shortly after the registration we will send you the full program and the link to join the meeting.
